Well, as you all know the new Nine Inch Nails album is coming out this April 17th, and it is to be titled YEAR ZERO. Reznor says it is highly conceptual, quite noisy, fucking cool, and not flav flav, but that he is inspired by public enemy and their use of samples. So far, that is about all the news on it and at the same time the web site keeps updating. The newest song to be revealed is VESSEL. I am suspecting an album musically similar to downward spiral, with a more focused theme that involves at least some spoken word. |

I wonder what Saul Williams' contribution is and how big it will be. I mean, are we going to have him narrate half the fucking cd, or will he just be on one track. I like Saul, but, come on!

I don't know. I am not sure if 15 tracks of Trent Reznor bitching about America will really be as good as songs like TDTWWA. Then again, it is sort of a similar concept. Both albums spoke of the world ending a lot.

 Given the rapidness that he completed this album with, and the apparent echo of the continued anti-bush sentiment from WT, I highly doubt that he actually came up with 15 new tracks, and these are in fact the left over tracks that he "had enough for a whole new album" for from WT. Reviews from those who were fortunate to preview it resemble that of the WT reviews. Read about it. It will kill you. On another note, Saul Williams should write/produce/direct a movie based on his life, but have Trent Reznor star as the main character. That would be awsome.

I could also be a good moderator. At least I have good taste in beer, which seems to matter here. As far as being on topic goes, the new album will be cool, so long as it doesn't insult where I live. See, I live in texas, and although I'm not a republican, I have a lot of pride in my state. I don't take kindly to people messin' with texas you know what I mean?
